Cricket Betting at 5k bd — Live Odds and Best Betting Markets for BPL, IPL and T20 World Cup
From T20 to Test, from BPL to ICC tournaments — 5k bd has odds for every major cricket match. Bet on match winner, top batsman, total runs and more, and follow the live action in-play.
Three formats of cricket and your favourite tournaments
Cricket betting covers three separate formats — each with a different style of betting. T20 is the fastest format and the one most familiar to fans in Bangladesh. With only 20 overs, situations change quickly and odds shift often. ODI offers a wider 50-over game with more opportunity for mid-game betting. And Test cricket spans five days — here innings, pitch behaviour and weather combine to make betting more varied.
Among competitions, BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) draws the most interest from fans in Bangladesh. Every match in this domestic franchise tournament is closely contested. Beyond that, IPL, the T20 World Cup, the ICC ODI World Cup and Bangladesh Tigers matches in bilateral series are the biggest betting attractions throughout the year.
Football and other sports are also available at 5k bd. The key difference between cricket and football betting is that football matches can end in a draw, so odds cover three outcomes (win, draw, loss); in limited-overs cricket there is no draw — one of the two teams must win.
Popular betting markets at 5k bd
Each cricket match offers multiple markets. Below is a simple explanation of the most commonly used markets and how each bet works.
Match Winner
A bet on which of the two teams will win. In limited-overs matches there are only two possible outcomes — Team A wins or Team B wins. You get a return if the team you picked wins.
Toss Winner
A bet on which team will win the toss before the match starts. The outcome is entirely separate — pitch conditions or team strength are not relevant here.
Top Batsman
A bet on which batter will score the most runs in an innings or across the whole match. These bets most commonly fall on top-order batters.
Total Runs (Over/Under)
A bet on whether the total runs in an innings will be above (Over) or below (Under) a set number. For example, an Over bet on a 160-run line in T20 means you expect the innings to reach 161 or more.
Multi Bet
Combining bets from multiple matches or markets into one — if all selections are correct you get a return at the combined odds. If even one is wrong, the entire bet is lost.
Handicap Betting
The weaker team is given an artificial advantage (a runs or wickets margin) to level the contest. The handicap bet wins only if the stronger team wins by more than the set margin.
Odds are shown in three formats
Betting sites typically display odds in three formats — decimal, fractional and American. All three express the same probability; only the way they are written differs.
Example 1 — Team A wins, stake ৳200: Decimal odds 2.50, fractional 3/2, American +150. These three are just different ways of expressing the same odds. If the bet wins, total return is ৳500 — ৳300 profit plus your original ৳200 back. If the bet loses, the full ৳200 is gone.
Example 2 — Team B is favourite, stake ৳200: Decimal 1.25, fractional 1/4, American -400. Negative American odds show how much you need to stake to win ৳100. On a ৳200 stake the return is ৳250 (৳50 profit).
| Format | Team A (Example 1) | Team B (Example 2) |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.50 | 1.25 |
| Fractional | 3/2 | 1/4 |
| American | +150 | -400 |
Live odds change with every wicket
In-play or live betting means placing bets while the match is going on. It is a completely different experience from pre-match betting — because odds are recalculated after every ball, every over and every wicket.
When the batting team loses a wicket, their chances of winning decrease. As a result, the bowling team's odds shorten (they become favourites) and the batting team's odds lengthen.
If the batting team scores heavily in an over, the Over/Under line for total runs moves immediately. The batting team's odds of winning also shorten.
If fewer runs are needed off the last over, the batting team's odds drop quickly. If the bowling team delivers a dot ball, they shift again. In-play markets stay active at every such moment.
If rain reduces the number of overs in a T20 or ODI match, the target is revised. Live markets may be temporarily suspended during that time.
A few things to know before you start betting
Betting is a form of entertainment. A return on every bet is not guaranteed — keep that in mind when you bet. A few points below can help make the experience better.
Set a budget — Decide in advance how much you will bet each day or each week. Stay within that limit. Following responsible gaming guidelines is the most important thing.
Understand the format before betting — The nature of betting markets differs across T20, ODI and Test. T20 changes fast; in Test, pitch and weather conditions matter more.
Be careful with multi bets — Multi bets offer larger combined odds, but one wrong selection means losing everything. It is better to start with fewer selections in a multi bet.
No rushing in in-play — Odds move quickly in live betting. Understand how the match is going and make decisions with a clear head.
Read the rules and terms — Get familiar with the betting rules, bonus conditions and withdrawal rules beforehand. Full details are available on the terms and conditions page.
